ABOUT
Samantha is the Senior Associate - TV Legal and Business Affairs for non-scripted content at ABBAS.
Samantha began her career, qualifying as a lawyer with Virgin. Now her specialism is advising on unscripted TV, bringing a wealth of experience from a range of hit reality television programmes, documentaries, factual entertainment series, comedy and panel shows.
EXPERIENCE
A qualified solicitor, Samantha is an experienced senior executive in the broadcasting industry. She has worked at Walt Disney, UKTV, Ginger, Endemol Shine and Banijay UK as a legal and public policy professional.
Samantha is skilled in TV business affairs, intellectual property law, media law, legal and regulatory compliance as well as strategy, policy and government affairs.
Prior to joining ABBAS, Samantha spent over eight years as the Senior Legal and Business Affairs Executive at Banijay UK working across a range of shows including Big Brother (C5 and ITV2), The Wall (BBC) Frankie Boyle’s New World Order (BBC) and The Ranganation (BBC).

WHEN NOT WORKING
Samantha volunteers with the Careers Enterprise Service as a Careers Enterprise Advisor for Elstree Screen Arts Academy, an school in Elstree specialising in the creative arts, recently rated outstanding by Ofsted. She works with the school acting as a conduit between education and industry, facilitating work placements which help students get into the industry.
